About Ayda
What is Ayda Works?
Ayda Works is a brand of convenient health & wellness products for women combining the best elements of modern science with those of holistic medicine and ayurveda. Our first line is hydration products rich in electrolytes, but also containing Calcium, Aloe, Prebiotics and Ashwagandha.
Who formulated Ayda Works?
Our incredible formulation team is led by Scott Forsberg, the former head of R&D at the largest rollup of supplement brands in America. He is advised by Dr. Bruno Xavier, a microbiologist and professor at Cornell University, Miriam Maxwell, a regulatory expert who has worked for Nestle and Cargill, and others including nutritionists and certified yoga instructors.
Our team has meticulously combined the best principles of modern science with the learnings of holistic medicine and ayurveda to create uniquely natural and efficacious products.
Where does the name Ayda come from and what is the significance?
Ayda Works combines the best of modern science with eastern principles of holistic medicine. Ayda is the first two and last two letters of the word “Ayurveda,” which is the traditional Hindu system of herbal medicine. Ayurveda means the study of life. It takes a natural approach to all aspects of health and well-being. Ayurveda is based on the idea that each person has certain life forces (doshas) and everything in the universe is connected.
How does this compare to other hydration drinks or powders?
Unlike many hydration products that are loaded with sugar, too much sodium or artificial ingredients, our formula contains no added sugar, is clean-label, and uses functional levels of electrolytes and other beneficial ingredients designed specifically for women. We focus on natural ingredients, targeted formulations, and real performance benefits for daily life.

Ingredients & Formulation
How are these products specifically formulated for women?
A woman’s body is different than a man’s. You may need more of some things, like Calcium and Sodium, and less of other things, like Vitamin A and Potassium. You are more susceptible to spikes and crashes from caffeine. We also added Aloe for additional hydration of skin and hair, L-Theanine to help promote a sense of calm and balance, Prebiotics for gut health and herbal botanicals like Ashwagandha.
Why is proper hydration more critical for women?
Hydration isn’t just about thirst, it’s about how you feel, look, and function. Women naturally have less body water than men, meaning dehydration can hit faster and feel more noticeable - cue the afternoon slump, dull skin, and low energy. Proper hydration supports everything from glowing skin to balanced mood and sharper focus. It even plays a key role in urinary and vaginal health. Women are also more prone to dehydration around certain phases of the menstrual cycle, when hormone shifts affect fluid balance. Staying consistently hydrated can help ease bloating, support circulation, and keep your system in sync.
Think of hydration as your daily foundation for clear skin, steady energy, and confidence from the inside out. Ayda Works Hydration is not only super tasty so you never feel like drinking water is a chore, but is formulated specifically for women including Aloe for healthy skin, Calcium for healthy bones and light but effective dose of Sodium for functional hydration.
What are the benefits of Ashwagandha?
Ashwaganda is revered in Ayurvedic medicine for its ability to promote relaxation and reduce stress. Research suggests that it may help manage cortisol, the master stress hormone. It has also been studied for its positive effects on sleep.
What is L-Theanine and what are its functional benefits?
L-Theanine is a naturally occurring amino acid found in green tea. It is reportedly responsible for the meditation enhancing effects of tea valued by Buddhist monks. It is known to increase alpha brain wave activity, which is associated with a state of calm, focused alertness without causing drowsiness.
Why does Ayda contain Aloe?
Aloe is one of the ways Ayda Works is formulated specifically for women. Beyond basic hydration, aloe supports healthy skin and hair from the inside out, helping you stay hydrated where it matters most. It's a natural, plant-based ingredient with a long history in holistic wellness, and it fits right in with our approach of combining modern science with the best of Ayurvedic medicine.
What kind of sweeteners do you use?
Ayda is mildly sweet. We use a naturally derived sweetening system that includes a very small inclusion of stevia (Reb M) and additional sweeteness comes from the prebiotic fiber and fruit essences in the flavor system. This carefully chosen combination delivers a clean, balanced flavor without any added sugars, sugar alcohols (which may cause digestive distress) or artificial ingredients.
Is too much salt or sodium unhealthy?
Yes. The USRDA for Sodium is to consume less than 2,300 milligrams (mg) per day. The American Heart Association has an even lower limit of 1,500 mg. Yet, some of our competitors put as much as 1,000 mg of Sodium in their single serve hydration products. A pinch of salt and minerals can help your body better absorb water, but too much Sodium can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, or other serious and chronic conditions. That’s why we use a pinch—around 300 mg, and no more.
Product Safety & Quality
Is it safe to use this product while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We always recommend consulting your healthcare provider before using any supplements during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Does your product contain any allergens?
Our formulas do not contain any ingredients derived from major allergens, including gluten, dairy, soy, and nuts. They’re also non-GMO, vegan, and keto-friendly.
Why does my Ayda powder have small natural clusters?
You may notice that some pouches contain small natural powder clusters. This is normal and does not affect the quality, safety, or effectiveness of Ayda.
Because Ayda is made with carefully selected ingredients and without unnecessary fillers or anti-caking agents, the powder may take a little longer to dissolve than some artificially processed drink mixes.
For the best experience, simply add Ayda to water, shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds, or stir well until fully dissolved.
The result is the same great hydration and benefits—just with a little extra mixing.
Why are there some particles settling in my drink?
It's natural! Larger, less soluble ingredient particles that are unprocessed, like Ashwagandha and Aloe, will sometimes resettle out of solution. However, our expert formulators decided that the benefits for women outweigh a few undissolved particles. If you notice a bit of sediment settling just give it a swirl to ensure great taste, smooth sip and daily hydration.
